收起1.要点提示
1)Illustrate the popularity of bicycles in your hometown and explain why.
2)Frequency+Explanation.
3)Yes/No+Give reasons.
4)List the advantages and give reasons.
2.结构示例
1)I have to say that bicycles are not so popular in my hometown. The reason is that my hometown is located in a hilly area. There are many uphills and downhills in the city, so it’s pretty energy-consuming to ride a bicycle.
2)Never. I can’t ride a bicycle. As I’ve mentioned, bicycles are not popular in my hometown because of the landform. Therefore, it seems not necessary for me to learn it.
3)I’ll say no. I think it’s dangerous for the elderly to ride bicycles. They are not so sensitive as the younger generations are about the road conditions. For example, if an elderly can’t clearly see a car running towards him/her, he/she might be hit by the car and get injured badly.
4)Compared to a car, a bicycle is more economical, environment-friendly, space-efficient, and better for health. Bicycles are less expensive. They don’t emit harmful gas. It’s easy to find somewhere to park them. What’s more, riding bicycles can be good exercise.
