Think carefully about the issue presented in the following excerpt and the assignment below.
Privacy is once valued and protected. Diaries came with locks to keep the writer’s privately recorded thoughts from being read by others. Public telephones are enclosed in booths so that conversations would not be overheard. But now people feel free to post information about themselves on social networking Web sites and carry cell phone conversations in public places. We would be much better off if we valued privacy—our own and that of others—far more highly than we do.
Do we place too little value on privacy?
Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

We share too much about ourselves with others today, either involuntarily or on purpose. Sometimes people just want to get more attention from other people for certain purposes.
反:Privacy is still important in our lives. We have password to protect our privacy.
补:No matter what era we are in, privacy is important. Sharing cannot constitute for everything in our lives. We also need space and time for our own.
