Should famous Chinese sites of historical interest charge higher fees during peak travel seasons?
In the first part of essay you should state dearly your main argument, and in the second part you should support your argument with appropriate details. In the last part, should bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or make a summary
With social and economic development, Chinese people have more time and money to visit famous sites of historical interest. Their visits can enrich their own lives and bring the sites substantial income. Unfortunately, too many visitors, especially during peak travel season, can cause huge problems. One solution to this is to charge higher fees during peak travel seasons. I think is necessary and am in favor of this decision.
There are many parks in China that do not charge entrance fees, while almost all famous sites of historical interest still need an entrance fee. Some people cannot accept this for they think that both parks and famous sites of historical interest are part of the public service. They should require little to no fee for the visit since residents have already paid taxes to the government. With this mentality, it would be impossible for those sites to charge higher fees during peak travel seasons and still maintain visitor interest.
On the surface, the argument against entrance fees to historical parks seems reasonable. But in fact, those people have ignored the unique value of these historical sites, as they provide ample historical and cultural education. Those sites differ from common parks. The relics in these sites are precious and fragile and usually require professional attention. These professionals are expensive and constantly demand government resources. Entry fees must, therefore, be charged. During peak travel seasons, there is no better measure than raising the entry fees to reduce the number of tourists. The purpose of charging higher fees is to stop large crowds from visiting in order to better protect the valuable relics as well as ensure the safety of the tourists. It is obvious that some people will give up their visits considering the higher fees. Entrance fees are instituted to conserve precious relics at the sites of historical interest in an appropriate and sustainable way.
Due to the unique features of relics and the need for sustainable protection of sites of historical interest, we must control the number of visitors, especially during the peak travel seasons, to diminish the impact of human activities on these sites. Charging higher fees during the peak travel seasons is, therefore, very important.
