PS框架的搭建还可以从自己的发展方向去进行分析。在此基础上可以将PS框架划分为以下三种：

       1、全面型

       这一类型的申请者往往多才多艺，可能钢琴10级，花样泳全运会前3之类。这一类申请者在写申请材料的时候往往会非常的烦恼，不知道如何突出自己的优势，似乎我们总是在强调学术，那么这样的能力是否算作是优势呢？可以明确的告知大家这就是优势。而且美国学校十分重视一个人的全面发展。

【范例】

开头：

只有当一个人处在追求完美的状态的时候,他才有可能最大限度的去完善他自己和他所在的领域,不管是人性,科学,艺术抑或其他.

正文：

Why Scientist:体育,艺术和科学的完美结合

在写这一类PS框架的时候应该注意将自己的全面发展和学术的研究结合在一起。

       2、社会公益型

       在我们的申请者中存在着这么一个人群，他们的理想的实现不是为了个人，而是为了更广泛的群体，所以我们称之为社会公益型。

       下面请看这一类型的申请者是如何去构建自己的PS的框架的：

18岁时我已经成长为一名获得省级奖项，熟练制作，自由操纵航模的高手，但是那仅仅是个人的实现，我不满足于此，我创建了航模队，希望带领更多的人实践航空梦，但是在哈飞研制复合材料的经历却让我清楚地看到要让更多的人实现航空梦，我要做的应该是在对复合材料研究基础上探索新的复合材料类型和成型工艺。并希望基于此实现复合材料的快速设计和快速成型，实现复合材料的从非承力件向半承力件、完全承力件的过渡。最大限度的降低制造成本。将其应用在民用领域以实现飞机的平民化和个性化。

相对复杂的设计而言，我更钟情于制造。再精巧的构思，再完美的设计，如果无法从图纸落实到产品，对我来说是没有意义的。复合材料及先进的设计制造一体化工艺极有可能成为多极力量的一支终结传统的飞机制造体系。这是我研究的方向。同时我希望基于此的研究能找到一条全新的生产模式大幅提高飞机生产率而提供一种时尚的、可负担的起的飞机。从而帮助更多的人实现飞翔的梦想！

       这一类申请者对学术研究有着深深的热爱，而且有了不少的成就。

如果我是一名教师，我一生中教授的学生将是有限的，如果我是一个教育领域的研究者，也许我的一个教育模式，一个理论的突破将会给教育界带来福音！教育是世界的，而不仅仅是属于某个国家和地区的；但是教育也是具体的，不是任何别国和别地区成功的模式都能够照搬和推广的。而作为发展中国家的一员怎样做到将优化的教育模式传播给世界，怎样将世界优化的教育模式引进到中国，建立适合中国特性的教育模式是我经过22年时间的选择与实践后确立的人生目标！
